Welcome

The Touch Initiative is a network of dedicated  massage therapists, bodyworkers, and other holistic health practitioners who share a desire to take their work beyond clinics and spas out into institutional health care, education, and public settings. The group began in San Jose, California in 2009. Participants work in retirement and assisted living communities, nursing homes and hospitals, including memory care (Alzheimer's and other dementias), hospice, and special care homes for young people with special needs. Some also provide services in clients' homes and other locations.

To inquire about services, please visit our directory to locate a practitioner in your area or submit your request via our contact page. If you are a trained professional interested in being a part of our network, please contact us for more information. While current participants live in California and Michigan, we welcome inquiries from practitioners in other parts of the United States, as well as in Canada and other countries.
